Engineered with the builder in mind, The Builder Collection has been designed to be a reasonably priced alternative to our fully customized wood Carriage House Style garage doors. The allure of natural wood combined with beautiful styling will add curb appeal and value to your home.

THE BUILDER COLLECTIONTM

The Builder CollectionTM is uniquely engineered with the builder in mind. The window grid has been designed for easy removal; for applying finish paint and normal cleaning. It is a natural wood product with a luxurious appearance and is a reasonably priced alternative to our fully customized wood carriage style garage doors. The Builder Collection offers a large selection of designs including arched windows and is available in both a paintable and stainable version.

CONSTRUCTION: Door frames are constructed using 1-1/8” thick finger-jointed West Coast kiln dried Hem/Fir stile and rails, Tongue & Groove weather joint at meeting rails and a 1-1/8” Polystyrene core. 1/4” Luan Mahogany Plywood is laminated and stapled to both sides of the frame. A 5/8” thick wood overlay is applied to the door face to create the door design. All windows are a grid style; if the design includes arched windows, the window grid is arched. Door faces are Paint Grade or Stainable as specified by buyer. Paint Grade doors are made with a Western Red Cedar Overlay, and then is factory prime painted. The Stainable door is made with a Meranti Mahogany Overlay with resembles the Luan Mahogany Plywood Face. Stainable doors must be prepared before applying the door finish.

  • Arch: Standard radius for all arched door designs are 15’-0” radius. Single car doors; 8’ to 10’ wide door have one arch. Double car doors; 15’-6” to 18’ have two 15’-0” radius arches (double arches). Arched designs are not available on the 12’ wide doors.
  • Calculated insulation rating through section, R Value=6.18
  • Finish: Paint grade doors are factory prime painted and ready for finish paint.
